Tallahassee and the surrounding areas took a direct hit early Friday morning from the category 1 Hurricane named Hermine.  The City of Tallahassee utilities estimates that 21,500 remain without power as of 3pm on Monday 09/05/2016.

Leon County  has set up Comfort Shelters/Cooling Centers where local residents can have free access to clean water, restrooms, air conditioned space and important resources like cell phone charging and internet access to communicate with neighbors and family members.  Additionally there have been provisions made for Hot Meal Service and Bottled Water Distribution.

Tallahassee Growth Management and Leon County Development Support have both publicized that they will be accepting applications for waiver of permit fees for the restoration of hurricane-related damage.  You can contact their offices directly for assistance in applying for the waiver of permit fees.

We have received several calls from desperate local residents whose homes have been damaged as a result of the storm and who must make other housing arrangements.  For those searching for rental property please contact our favorite property management team at Rent With Integrity property management.  If they do not have vacancy that can accommodate you they do have many affiliates through the Tallahassee Association of Residential Property Managers

Most residents have an abundance of storm-related yard debris that will need to be hauled away.  Waste Pro provides our Leon County trash services and their policies and contact information are published on their website available through the blue link above.

As always, if there is anything we at the Integrity Realty Leaders Team can do to help you with your housing needs please call on us!
